The Passover week started this Monday at sunset as the 15th of Nisan began. Jewish families gathered to enjoy the Seder together in homes all across the world. The Passover Seder is not generally eaten in synagogues or public places, but remains a family-oriented meal eaten in remembrance of God's passing over the Hebrew dwellings when He slew all the firstborn children of Egypt. It celebrates the freeing the children of Israel from the slavery of Egypt.

The pro-life House Democrats capitulated on Sunday night and joined on a party line vote to pass the health care bill, to the dismay of large numbers of American voters. Any compassionate person wants to make sure that all people, whether rich or poor, can get help when they are ill or injured. However, this step deeper into the arms of socialism may have unintended consequences that leave us worse off than before.

Economic cycles are nothing new, nor is the manipulation of those cycles new. It's just more pronounced. But, having said that, one should draw a deep breath, realize where we are and remember the words in Ecclesiastes. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. God is still in control as long as you, the believer, are still here. That's not to say that evil will not be evil- it is to say that God's promise is that He will turn it for your good. Stand on that.

I watched the House of Representatives labor over the Health Care bill for most of the day, yesterday. There is a disparity between the Dems & the Repubs regarding this issue, and that is an understatement. The clincher for me came when Bart Stupak caved – and make no mistake about it the man caved – and agreed to vote for the bill. All the talk about the sanctity of life was thrown down the political drain.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had planned to push through a package of amendments to the Senate’s health care reform bill this weekend. The plan was to use a procedural ploy (the so-called Slaughter Solution, after Democratic Rep. Louise Slaughter, chair of the Rules Committee) to "deem" the Senate bill passed without a vote. Democrats would thus have "passed" a bill opposed by 60% of Americans without actually voting for it.

The vote for the Health care bill may happen by Sunday, if house speaker Nancy Pelosi deems she has the votes. By the way Pelosi’s approval rating is 3% and yet, this is the person who is running the House of Representatives. It’s a sad day...

In 2008, Tony Blair launched an effort dedicated to bringing different faiths together for reconciliation. When his Tony Blair Faith Foundation was started, Blair described as one of its major goals to "counter extremism in all six leading religions." He wanted to deal with global poverty and conflict and open up communication between people of different faiths in order to "educate, inform and develop understanding." Now that Blair has assembled a collection of influential religious leaders from the major world religions, he is preparing to embark on a "faith offensive" across the United States.

It could be said that a miracle has occurred any time somebody escapes an addiction. While some people struggle for years and years and never seem to find true victory, we will look at three men today whom God clearly and obviously set free, giving hope to countless others. Before Lynne Dickie came to Yeshua/Jesus she was a UFO experiencer. She had direct contact with entities that she believed were from other planets. Today's secular scientists maintain a skepticism of miracles. They tend to discount the miracles of the Bible out of hand because of an anti-supernaturalistic bias, a bias that rejects the possibility that a mighty God intervenes in human lives in obvious, tangible ways. Then after all the hype we were shown the fossil of an animal and told that this was the missing link in the human evolutionary chain! I Blogged about this and called it a hoax. Now,  little more than a year later a team of “scientist” have declared that there is no link between the fossil and human beings!

People often ask me where I get the ideas for my articles. I tell them that the Holy Spirit whispers in my ear. They often look at me askance. Well, this morning was a perfect example. The Lord reminded me of a statement that an Orthodox Rabbi said to me years ago. He was a member of Aish Hatorah in Jerusalem, an organization that tries to bring Jews back to their roots so to speak. I had told him that while I now believed that Jesus (Yeshua) was the Messiah and was God, I still considered myself a Jew. He disagreed and we argued back and forth for weeks as all Jews love to do.

There were lot’s of comments about the show we did Wednesday night on Acceleration Radio and subsequent BLOG the following day. I want to make a point here and it is this, before I was saved, I was immersed in the occult. When my girlfriend died in a car crash at 16 – I was 18 – this sent  me into a tail spin, as I had never encountered death up close and personal before. It lead me to search for the meaning of life.

When Francis Jane Crosby was only six weeks old, she was taken to a doctor to treat an inflammation in her eyes caused by a cold. The regular physician was out of town, and the substitute gave little Fanny's parents a faulty treatment that blinded the child within days.  She was blind for the rest of her life.  That first tragedy was followed by others. Her father died when Fanny was just a year old, and her mother had to hire herself out as a maid to provide for the family.  Fanny was able to attend a school for blind children and afterwards taught there, but when she was 29 a cholera epidemic killed more than half of the children in the school.  After she married, her only child died in infancy.

On Acceleration Radio last night my guest was Butch Witkowski. It was an unnerving two-hour show that plumed the depths of the Human Mutilation phenomena. At one point in our discussion I asked Butch if there was a cover up within the UFO community. Without hesitation he replied that there was.

In 539 BC, Cyrus son of Cambyses took Babylon without a struggle. According to the Greek historian Herodotus, Cyrus diverted the course of the Euphrates river, making the river level drop and giving the invading forces the ability to enter into the city that night through the river bed. Nobody noticed them coming in, and the city gates that opened up onto the river were not closed; the Persians were able to just walk into town. Within a year, Cyrus declared that all the Jews captive in Babylon were free to return home to Jerusalem, as described in Ezra 1.

Over the weekend a 8.8 earthquake stuck Chile. So far the death toll is over 700. A few weeks ago an earthquake struck the island of Haiti and that death toll exceeds 200,000. There are those of us who look at these quakes in regard to Biblical prophecy, specifically the passage that tells us these signs, earthquakes, famines, pestilence, are the birth pangs.

I have been studying the UFO phenomena for fifty years. Even though I have never actually seen an UFO, they have always fascinated me and I likewise have always felt that they were real and would reveal to us something very important about ourselves and our destiny. These phenomena can be historically deconstructed into two broad explanatory groups. One says that the phenomena is not real and is only a figment of the viewer's imagination or hallucinations or worse his lurid capitalist desire to generate money by writing books or doing movies etc. The other group says that the sightings are real but are being covered up by the government to prevent panic yet provide new technology to the military industrial establishment.
